Privacy policy

Who we are

Sif (sif.works) is a web application for invoicing, time tracking, and project management, operated from Denmark. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we handle it. If you have questions, contact us at support@sif.works.

What data we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and the company (tenant) you belong to, so we can identify you and give you access to the right data.
• Business data you enter — customers, projects, time entries, expenses, invoices, and tasks. This is the content you create while using Sif; it belongs to your company.
• Authentication data — a session token (see “Cookies” below) so we can keep you signed in.
• Operational logs — technical logs needed to run the service securely and diagnose problems.

How we use your data

We use your data only to provide and operate the service: authenticating you, storing and displaying the business records you create, generating invoices and reports, and sending the emails the service requires (for example password resets and invoice notifications). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

Sif keeps cookie use to the minimum needed to run the service. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

• Authentication session cookie. When you log in, we set a single session cookie so the application knows you are signed in. It is the only cookie Sif sets.
• No cookies before login. We never set any cookie on your browser before your first successful login. Browsing the public pages (home, features, pricing, help, and this policy) sets no cookies at all. Consent for the session cookie is given by logging in — the login page carries the cookie notice — so no cookie is ever stored without your consent.
• Purpose and lifetime. The session cookie exists solely to keep you signed in. It is removed when you sign out, and it expires on its own after the session lifetime.

Data sharing

We share data only where necessary to run the service — for example with the email provider that delivers Sif's messages. We do not share your business data with other tenants or third parties beyond what is required to operate the service.

Data retention

We keep your account and business data for as long as your company uses Sif. When an account is closed, we remove or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example invoicing records) by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sif.works.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
